I am having a problem with bair share it does not seem to find any thing any mroe and says that there is a conection problem.
Does any one no of anotehr shareing program that works with jaws?
Are you using Comcast? I heard somewhere they are blocking peer to peer programs.

I guess a torrent might work. That is if your ISP is really blocking traffic from those.
Which version of BearShare are you using?
kerry. go to www.jfwlite.com can get bearshare lite 5.25 that one works well. i use it all the time. the new bearshares suck ass because they don't work with screen readers well. i tried so i know. hope that helps.
bare share sucks. Whenever I open it it says program failure do you want to debug, close, or cansel. I use KC Easy.
I had a version of BearShare that did that. But 5.25, which is the one from Jfwlite, works fine. Occasionally it tells me I need to update, but if you shut the program down and restart it, it works fine.
I have 5.25 and it just does not conect to the net work
Did you try the different options it gave? There should a web page that has connection problems.

Ever tried DC Plus Plus? I've heard that's good, and the binary newsgroups are awesome as well.
I'm also having a problem with bearhsare. I can't connect to the network and I have DSl with yahoo. Is there a way I can fix this?
I downloaded bear share and my antiespy ware program found about 34 spies. Is bear share full of spy ware or something?

That is th version I downloaded and for some reason spybot found something like 34 spies.
spybot likes bare share. what I did was to open the bareshare treview in spybot search results list then check each component of the program you want to remove. Also, torrent are very dangerous and I seriously do not reccomend them. I used them for a long time and just payed a lot of money to get my computer repaired. I now use bareshare 5.2.5 and it works fine.

Bear Share isn't good anymore You can't get alot of yourdownloads you use to get, and if you do, itssomewhat slow.Another thing, is that versions of Bearshare don't useGnutella anymore. It is a new protocall. I hope you can find osmething else to download your music from. And the newer versionf of Bearshare aren't accessible with JAWS (That's what I've heard). HTH
kc easy uses new tella and also has three data bases built in that it searches from. They are Limewire, aries, and neucleus. It is a bit difficult to get around but I love it.
Mark my words, your more lightly to mess your computer up using bareshare tan your are using torrents.
I would advise anyone wanting to get into this kinda thing to start with torrents; severalgood tutorials are around n the internet.
